Play Swings-N-Things One-On-One Hitting Challenge!

The Hitting Challenge is a great game to play when using the batting cages at Swings-N-Things - and best of all it's FREE!

Here's how you play:

1. Choose any pitching machine you want - baseball or softball.
2. Players may hit against the same machine OR handicap the more experienced player & have one player hit vs. a faster machine! One round of pitches constitutes one inning.
3. Runners (imaginary) on base advance one base on a single, two bases on a double, etc.
4. Any ball hitting top net or concrete first is dead (0). Any pitch taken (whether a strike or ball), swung and missed or fouled off is dead (0).
   1. Runners advance and score only on hits.
      
      • Ball hitting net in front of pitching machines or roof over pitching machines on fly: SINGLE (1)
      • Ball hitting perimeter net below horizontal yellow rail of fence on fly: SINGLE (1)
      • Ball hitting perimeter net above horizontal yellow rail of fence on fly: DOUBLE (2)
      • Ball hitting defined area (between two yellow vertical posts & below horizontal yellow rail of fence) of perimeter net in straight away centerfield: DOUBLE (2)
      • Ball hitting center mast on fly: TRIPLE (3)
      • Ball hitting defined area (between two yellow vertical posts & above horizontal yellow rail of fence) of perimeter net in straight away centerfield: HOMERUN (4)
   2. Play as many or as few innings as you wish to make-up your game.
   3. Player with the most runs scored at the end of the game wins.
